Member Benefits

SADC Members have access to a wide range of benefits.

Advertising

We purchase ad time on KBOE 104.9 for our member businesses, in addition to promoting them on our SADC Facebook. We also work in close cooperation with The News-Review to ensure that your Keokuk County business gets the recognition that it deserves.

Advocacy

SADC advocates on behalf of our members. We work in close cooperation with the City of Sigourney and the Keokuk County Supervisors (both of whom sit on our Board.) This helps us make sure that your voice is heard as a business in Sigourney or Keokuk County when decisions need to be made that will affect you.

Awards and Recognition

SADC awards the Sigourney Star Award to a local citizen who has made a big impact to the city. This is awarded each year.

Business Directory

We maintain a business directory with 100+ entries, covering businesses across Keokuk County. As a member business you get special notation and recognition in the directory.

Business Library

We maintain a business library in our Sigourney office featuring books on sales, marketing, starting up a new business and more! We currently have 25 titles in our library, and it grows each month.

Are you starting a new business, or perhaps applying for funding? A business plan is essential. Let us help you write your business plan and save thousands of dollars in the "start up" process. We use business plan writing software that allows us to import data about your industry, and we combine it with our market research to give you a business plan that will wow banks and other funders, in addition to giving you the information you need to build your business from the ground up.

Financing / Revolving Loan Fund

SADC operates a Revolving Loan Fund that provides you access to low-interest funding to meet your business's needs. Whether you're a new business starting out, or you're a growing business that needs to tap additional capital, we can help make your dreams a reality. You can read more about the RLF here.

Industrial Park

SADC maintains 27 acres at our industrial park for new businesses that would like to start up or businesses that are relocating.

Market Research

Do you need to do market research to better understand your industry? Let us use our databases and research to pull that information together for you to better understand how your business fits in with the Keokuk County and the southeast Iowa business ecosystem.

Networking Events

We provide networking events, which includes our Keokuk County Business Network, a monthly training topic hosted by a member business that allows you to add to your professional development while also meeting other local business owners and catching up.

Social Media

We maintain a SADC Facebook where we regularly promote our member businesses and provide other information that's useful to you.

Referrals

When we get calls from people looking for referrals, we refer them to member businesses. That's because we know we can trust you and know the type of service and quality that you're known for.

Ribbon Cutting

Finally, if you're a new business or you're relocating/expanding, ask us about our ribbon cutting! We'll have SADC and as many local dignitaries as we can get to come celebrate your new adventure and opportunity.
