Connie was elected to serve on the City Council as the Third Ward representative in January 2012. Her current committee assignments within the council include Park and Recreation (Chair), Water, Street, and Sanitation. She was raised in Sigourney and married her husband, Andy, also from Sigourney, in 1977. They have three adult children—Craig, Kyle, and Keith—and eight grandchildren, all residing in the Cedar Rapids area.
Connie has been employed with Keokuk County Hospital and Clinics for 29 years as the Coordinator for Quality and Performance Improvement, Credentialing, Compliance, HIPAA, and Privacy. She is a member of St. Mary Church in Sigourney, where she serves as a lector and Eucharistic minister, and has been on the church council for three years.
Connie is also the Community Director for the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation (KCCEF) and has been on the KCCEF board for eight years.
In her spare time, she enjoys walking, visiting with friends, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
