My fourth term on the City Council began in January 2024. I was elected to an open seat in the last election through a write-in campaign, following a two-year absence. I live in Ward 2, which I previously represented, but was re-elected to a council-at-large position.
I retired in 2020 after working for 21 years from a home office here in Sigourney for IUPAT. Before that, I was employed as an Engineering Technician for the Keokuk County Highway Department and as a Field Representative for Kingsberry Homes. My decisions for the City are informed by my management experience, along with my understanding of infrastructure and the general operations of public entities.
My wife and I will soon celebrate 50 years of marriage. We have three children and six grandchildren. We continue to reside in the same house I built on West Jackson Street 40 years ago.
